    The 1746-OB16 SLC 500 Digital DC Output Module by AB is a DC module with sixteen 24V DC outputs and it is lodged in any free slot in the 1746 I/O Chassis. It has 16 output points and a backplane electrical rating of 0.280A at 5 Volts DC and one of 0A at 24V DC. The 1746-OB16 has a load-dependent maximum signal delay time of 1ms for OFF and 0.1ms for ON and a maximum current loss of 1mA in its OFF state. In its ON state, it has a voltage loss of 1.2 Volts at 0.50A and the minimum load each point can carry is 1mA.


    The 1746-OB16 has a nominal input current of 0.5A at 30 degrees Celsius and 0.25 A at 60 degrees Celsius for each output point and it has a gross input current of 8A at 30 degrees Celsius and 4A at 60 degrees Celsius per module. It also has a current surge of 3A for 10ms recurring every 1s at 30 degrees Celsius and 2s at 60 degrees Celsius (140 degrees Fahrenheit). The 1746-OB16 provides voltage isolation between the backplane and the outputs tested at 1500 Volts AC and it has a total heat dissipation of 7.6 Watts. It has a UL-A196, CSA, and C-UL Class I, Division 2 Hazardous Environment ratings, and it is CSA and UL-certified. When operational, the 1746-OB16 has a working temperature range of 0 to 60 degrees Celsius (32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit) at 5 to 95% non-condensing humidity surrounding and it is designed to withstand a 30G operational shock and a 2.5G operational vibration at 57 to 200 Hertz.
